Got the discs don't really like the colour but thats only my opinion but that doesn't matter if they burn and play in my machines

used dvd writer - sony dru500 with latest firmware
software used nero 5.5.10.7

burnt first disc 4x - dvd movie - catch me if you can - took just over 20 mins no problems
burnt second disc 4x - data x box game - halo - again just over 20 mins

checked both of these disks in my x-box bboted up strait away and no picture fault in film or problem with the game

tried the movie in my dvd player hyundi - picture quality great

overall view of these disks are very good and at the price these disks can put up a serious challenge to ritek and datawrite if the quality of them stay the same as these disks i recieved

well done bulkpaq hope this is a good step forward to cheaper and better quality dvd-r's

burnt first disk using Prassi , full disk movie, disk only burnt at 2x with Pioneer 105. Playback though was very good, worked perfectly.

Burnt second disk at 2x using Nero to backup data, no problems at all.

Overall, a good cheap disk.

pioneer 105
amd 1800+
512 MB RAM
used both disc's for movies, each using dvd2one to shrink size, resulting in full use of disc space.
both discs burnt at 4x no problems.
tested both discs on
yamada 2100
x-wave 1100
pacific 1002
ps2
both discs played flawlessly with quick chapter skipping and no freezing.
although they proved excellent im still a bit unsure of bulkpaq, what with them being the discs deemed not quite good enough to get a datawrite stamp on them. will buy some to check them out but not too many at first Smile

cheers mick

Bulkpaq Test

Sorry about the delay, Just purchased Pioneer 105 and now tested.
pioneer 105
amd 1800+
256 MB RAM
Both disc's used for movies, each using dvd2one to shrink size, resulting in full use of disc space.
Burnt at 4x no problems.
Tested both discs on Sony 705 without any problems
Both discs played flawlessly with quick chapter skipping and no freezing.
Then ran them thru Nero CD speed and at about 1.5GB mark considerable drop in read speed. A close inspection of the disc shows a distinct colour change in the dye with a ring about halfway in
Although they played OK, I don't think I will purchase these discs due to my previous experiences with other Bulqpaqs

Bulkpaq x 4

Hi Sorry for the delay, I had problems upgrading my firmware.

I tested these discs by copying Dr Zhivago. This is a large film which is on two diskc Wink

These played well on my Philips DvD 762 and on my Samsung DvD Rom.

Burned on my Pioneer A04 without any problems.

These disks are an improvement on previous Bulkpaq disks.

Further to my review on these disks, I have a sad tale to tell. I purchased ten of them and had problems. None would burn at 4x on my Sony 500a. They all dropped to 2x after a minute or two, but worse than this, only six out of the ten burned all the way through. The other four failed at the same point, around the 60% mark, and and a noticeable burn blemish could be seen on each one afterwards. Of the six that burned all the way through, two of them won't play on my Aiwa or Pioneer players, and these will usually play anything.
I'm afraid I won't be buying any more of these as the quality is not consistant, and what is the use of 4x disks that only burn at 2x on the Sony burner?

Come on Bulkpaq, get your act together before people lose faith in you completely.

System:
DRU-500a 2.0f
P4 1.7
768RDRAM
120Gb (40 + 80)

Burnt DVD Movie, played in PS2 + Ronin DVD Player, did skip a bit at one point but could have been the movie itself and not the disk.

Second disk was for a PS2 game, played in my V3 Messiah.

The two appears to work well however this is only two disks - i could have been lucky, but from the two I tested they appeared to work well.
