I got my 2 dvd-r's this morning in perfect condition.
Tested a movie (Dr Dolittle 2) and a ps2 game (Vexx)
Burning.
Burnt fine without any problems on my pioneer 104 (firmware 1.40) using Prassi Primo Dvd
Playback The movie played perfect, (no skipping or anything) in both my 2 standalone players. It even played great in my ps2.
The ps2 game also works perfect
Gereral Thoughts
It seems like this is the best Bulkpaq dvd-r by a long way. Lets hope the retail version is just as good, with a reasonable price to match.
Final PointIf the price is ok I will be swapping to this dvd-r in the future.
Look forward to testing more brands soon.

Received both discs this morning, thanks for letting me test.
My hardware is Athlon XP with Pioneer 105 with firmware 1.00
Burned first disc at 4x with Stomp Recordmax, 4.3gb movie, took 15 mins or so - Plays perfect on my Pioneer 343 set top player, and my Pacific 1002 set top player. Previous bulkpaq have a tendancy to have reading problems on these 2 players.
Burned the second disc at 4x (again 15mins or so) also with Stomp Recordmax - PS2 Game - Plays perfectly on my very fussy PS2 (one of the original batch) - it hates all disks usually. No skipping which is what I usually expierence.
The disk seems like a winner here, so shall be buying them I think.

Very Impressed
My disks arrived this morning.
Disks burned using Pioneer 105 with the firmware 1.00 and prassi primo dvd .
On the first dvdr i burned a copy of defjam vendetta for ps2 xt 4x, played it in my v3 ps2 and it booted first time with no problems, played for well over 20 mins and playing with no problems at all, very impressed.
The 2nd dvdr i used to backup xmen 1.5 again burned at 4x speed. Just tried it on my dansai 1010 and xbox and played perfectly on both.
So all in all i am very impressed with these dvdr's, nice colour as well.
Thanks for lettin me test them

Okay, first off, a big thank-you to Bulkpaq for letting us try these discs out.
Impressions
Discs arrived this morning. The jewel case mine arrived in was smashed up, but the discs were fine, so I guess it served its purpose..!
Orange.
Hmmm... Better than the nuclear yellow of the Datawrites, but am wondering what all of the budget-DVD media people have against white, grey and silver. But if the disc is good, I can look past the printing.
ADVDInfo output as follows:
00 6A 00 00 01 40 C1 FD 9E D8 52 00 02 F7 0E 0B .J...@....R.....
77 88 70 00 03 50 52 49 4E 43 4F 00 04 00 00 00 W.P..PRINCO.....
System
My tests were both full-disc video (>4.6"Gb") on my Athlon XP2000+ / Gigabyte GA-7VRXP system running XP with SP1, a Sony DRU-500A writer, and using Stomp Recordnow Max as the burning software (in wizard mode for compatibility with Sony standalones).
Burning
First disc started out fine, no problems, but then unexpectedly dropped to what I suppose was 2x part way through the write (at about the 15% mark). Burn continued, and concluded in approximately 25 minutes. This is the first time that I have seen this issue with my writer, though I have read about it on the forum of course.
So, I upgraded the firmware on my drive from 1.0g (which it was using) to 2.0e as available on the Sony web site ( 500a20e1.zip ).
The second burn went fine with this new (new to me, anyway) 2.0e firmware - 4x all the way, concluding in just over 16 minutes, just as I would expect for a completely full disc.
Conclusions
Both discs play fine with no breakup right to the end of the disc, and no delays in menu access, in all of the players that I have access to, including my PS2 and a relatively picky Aiwa XD DV370, though this player is also happy with the Datawrite Yellows, which are also Princo.
I'm pretty impressed with these - 99p for a 4x disc that seems quite compatible is a good deal as far as I am concerned, though I do have, like many others I am sure, lingering doubts about batch consistency, and durability of the disc over time.
Still, it's good to see some 4x media below a pound a pop, and I think that I might even buy some of these the next time I make an order.
Cheers,
Spook. _________________ "You're vile! You're foul! You're flawed!"

Bulkpaq 4x test disks
I received the 2 discs this morning, Saturday and after seeing the colour liked them instantly. The label is easy to write on with a marker and the matt finish ensures it shows up clearly. The appearance of the disk overall is excellent, the edges of the disc are smooth and clean cut. The dye is purple and evenly distributed. First impression on looks is excellent, if you do not like the orange on the label, you cannot see it when it is playing anyway.
Tested first disk in Pioneer A04 and second in A05.
Playback in LG, Toshiba and Pioneer DVD players in PCs and Sony DVP-S735D standalone player in the sitting room.
Decided to try to burn a problem DVD film that had been sitting on the hard drive for a few weeks. It plays faultlessly from the hard drive. Used latest Nero version to burn it with the A04. Did a test and burn at 2x but it failed as usual, then tried a 1x burn which although took almost an hour and three quarters, finally succeeded. Tried to play it back in all the PC dvd players but it said the disk was either damaged or dirty. In the Sony in the sitting room it played faultlessly right to the end. So no complaints.
Burnt Spiderman on to the second disk with the A05 and Nero. It completed quickly and easily in about 20 minutes, unfortunately I left it to burn while I had lunch, so I am not sure of the exact time. Playback was a little hit and miss on the PC DVD players. The Toshiba and Pioneer both stopped playing it after a few minutes, again disk damaged or dirty. The LG played it faultlessly as did the Sony in the sitting room. As the DVD players in the PCs are quite old I put this down to a compatibility problem with the players and not the disks. Both disks played back fine in the A04 and A05.
Overall I am happy with the results, as long as the price is right then I will certainly be buying these. The problem DVD on the hard disk had produced many coasters while trying to get it on disk. I tried many different makes and speeds but always with the same result, even at 1x. So these disks were able to at last give me it on disk. I think that these are one of the best disks I have used and cannot wait for them to come out.
Many thanks to Bulkpaq for the chance to try these disks, and to the organisers for the opportunity to partake in the test.
Final note. I can only rate these disks 10/10 on the performance of these 2 disks.

Thanks for the test discs, arrived this morning.
Nice looking disc, seems quite a thick sturdy disc too. Now in the past I have used Bulkpaq and as a result now stay well clear, will this disc change my views.... here we go.
PC Spec
Athlon 1600
1GB Ram
2 x 60GB HD
Samsung Reader
Sony DVD Writer
Burnt one movie at 4x in Sony DRU-500 and one PS2 games at 2x in the same drive.
Both completed well, movie was tested in the following devices...
Pioneer Standalone
Alba Standalone
Sony Standalone
Samsung DVD
Pioneer DVD
Pioneer DVDR
All worked fine right until the end of the disc and it loaded really well in the standalone too - skipping to chapters was nice and crisp also.
I will have to test the disc in a few players i know hate Princo stuff just to see so will edit the post later.
The PS2 game loaded ok, it wasn't lightning but nothing is in my PS2.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
both disk burned at 2x
the first disk was a copy of red dragon shrunk with dvd2one, so a full dvd,
watched the movie last night fast chapter skip no freezing or blocking,
seem very good for films, played in dvd player and consoles without a problem.
second disk i did a copy of toca race driver for x-box, worked perfect
movies were smooth game loaded fast seemed to be no problems at all.
i then did nero cd speed on both disks both disk produced a smooth curve
on my pioneer 104 dvd-rom, with hardly any spikes,
conclushion.
seem like a very good disk the overall finish of the disk is bot bad at all
better than previous bulkpaq, but on a side note was gonna burn one of these
in my A03 but the A03 would not even pick the disk up so if your an A03 user
no good for you, for everyone else seem like a good disk, mind you at a pound
same price as ritek G3s and i have to say call me an old stickler but i would
have to go for the G3s at the same price,,

Got my disc's this morning and I must say I like the colour (Im getting fed up of the green 2X disc's). First impresions were that it didn't look like a cheep disc and my expections were high.
First up was a movie (Shallow Hal). Nero recognised this as a 4x straight away and ripped through the burn in about 15 Mins. The buffer indicator was working overtime, shooting from 14% -98% in the last 2 mins of the burn and I was worried that this was gonna be another coaster.
However I stuck it in my Toshiba 220e and played flawlessly, chapter skip, FF and boot up were all quick and I was even impresed with the picture quality.
Next up was my Narita DVD/TV combo, I bought this from Safeway about 2 months ago and it's very fussy when it comes to DVD-R's. No probs, boot up was a little slower but no other issues.
Lastly Xbox V1.1. This Xbox didnt like my green 2X Bulkpaq's so it was interesting to see whether it would like the 4x.
Again no probs fast boot up and chaper skip, no skipping at the credits.
Considering SVP state that these may have problems with video playback I think this disc performed very well. I also ran it through nero DVD speed. Here are my results.

Next disc was Xbox game. Halo
Not so many checks I can do to this only that it booted up as fast as my original. No skips in the FMV sequances, played it for about an hour in deathmach mode and didn't encounter any freeze's or abnormalitys.
All in all I am very pleased with my results and will be ordering these as soon as I'm out of the 2X.
Thanks to everyone involved in letting me test these disc's
