I use a pioneer a05 burner with prassi primodvd 2 burning software
Nice colour on top & underneath i noticed the the outside edge seemed a little crooked in the dye.
First disc burnt @4x 4.14g data , a mix of mp3's,dvix & odd files .tested all data after burn all ok no probs.
2nd disc burnt a movie movie @4x 4.65g finished in under 15 mins , tested on dawooe dvd player & psx2 , no skipping during playback , ff & rw ok , no loss of quality towards the end of the disc.
Overall a very impressive disc , had probs with bulkpaq in the past so will have 2 see how they perform in bulk, but on this test will def b buying. _________________ bizzare!

Great
Burnt both discs with Record Now Max 4.5 on a Pionner A04 @ 2x
Played on a Pionner DV-115 Standalone player
Disk 1
Burn't a 2hr 40mins movie 4.2GB played fine all the way through, even searching through the chapters were smooth.
Disk2
1hr 40 min movie 4.1GB played fine as well, no pixelation, searching through chapters was smooth.
Conclusion
This discs holds up its own to my more expensive Ritek G04 discs, i only tested it on my equipment so i dont know about compatibilty. But overall a good all around disc. "One of the better balkpaq discs".
Thanks for letting me test the discs guys/gals.

Written on a Sony DW-U10A firmware 1.1c
Wrote 2 Movies one 4.475 gig, the other 4.425 gig. Wrote them both with Nero 5.5.10.7. I wrote them both at 4X speed but had an unusual problem Both write took 30 mins, the same as when I write with 2 X speed disks. This is the first time I have written at 4X speed so I cant blame the disks, maybe a firmware or Nero problem.
Anyway the disks played flawlously in me Technika 212, my Pacific cheepie from Asda and in my philips DVDR880 +R recorder. Will definatly buy again, just need to sort the burn speed out.

PC Spec:
1.4 Athlon
640 sdram
60Gb HD
Sony dru-500a
Firmware 2.0e
Software:
Recordnow 4.5
Players:
Cyberhome 528
Samsung 511
PS2
Recorded the first disc at 4x speed.Took about 17min (movie size 4.2gig)
Booted up fine in both dvd players but froze while trying to skip thru the chapters.
Recorded the second disc at 2x speed again booted up fine and this time played prefect, skipped thru the chapters no problem.
Both discs played ok on the ps2,but a little noisely
So for me good disc for 2x burns, but a no no for 4x burns

Test Equipment used.
Wytron dvd2000 duplicator with samsung reader & Pioneer 105 burner with 1.21 firmware.
did 2 tests copied a multi film dvdr, copied in approx 15mins on the fly, tested on a Dansai 955 and played back perfectly right to the end of the disc.
2nd test was with Splinter Cell for PS2, took same time again tested on my Messiah chipped Ps2 and loaded perfectly even the films were smooth, now i cant normally get any bulkpak to work on my ps2 so i am impressed with these discs.
At 99p per disc i will definately buy some of these. _________________ Email

mine arrived monday morning (thanks)
pioneer dv104, fw 2x4all v1.31
disk 1 XBOX
burnt 4 gig of xbox games at 2x
data reads back in my pc burner, but not my pc liteon 165h dvd reader.
Menu boots up fast and games play off my xbox without problems...
am very surprised!
My xbox (samsung drive) reads datawrite yellow (1x), datasafe ritek(1x),
datawrite dvd-rw(1x) but will not read bulkpaq purple (1x). these Bulkpaq Tango are the first dvd-r to work in my xbox with a 2x burn speed.
disk 2 PS2
burnt 3 gig game at 2x, boots up at top speed, video smooth, can't
faut it in any way.
My PS2 used to read all media above that I wrote at 1x, but after fitting a Messiah 2, would only read datasafe ritek written at 1x. Bulkpaq Tango is the first media it will read when written at 2x.
I hate to say it, but this is the best media I have ever used, I'm just
looking for a firmware update for my liteon dvd reader....just updated
from fw CH0N to fw CH11....tango reads fine now.
If you can keep the quality constant this will beat all comers.

Both disks arrived in great condition, and I like the colour, much better than the green 2x from bulkpaq.
I have never had trouble writing to bulkpaq but i have had trouble reading the 2x discs.
I was afraid thast the 4x would be worse than the 2x as far as reading but was pleasently suprised when it played back okay in both my sony and yamada players
It looks like bulkpaq have produced a reliable fast 4x disk which will help push the price of 4x writing down to a level where a failed write would be less of a concern than the £1.50 or so it is now. While mainting the readability of dvd-r.

Tested with Pioneer 1-04 2xall 1.4 firmware on an old 450Mhz Compaq that I use for burning accross the network.
Burned at 2x no problems
tried a movie (4.1Gb) and a selection of mp3's (4.3Gb)
Movie plays great on cyberhome 512 no problems to end of movie
On Mp3 DVD tried nero dvd test and got an average of 6.5x out of it from my sony dvd reader (quite fussy)
So overall I give it a big thumbs up and will be ordering some and saving up for a 4x writer now that the cost is reasonale for media
Thanks for the test guys.
K

OK, Here's Take 2....
Found advice about my drive and carefully cleaned the pickup lens.
Banged in one of the Bulkpaq 4X discs, set it to record a DVDR image of Two Weeks Notice and blow me....It burnt BUT...
On playback in the Dansai 1010, skipping started immediately, even the menu music. Within seconds, the main film began stuttering and withnin 10 mins ground to a total halt. Playback was fine in the PC and a speed test gave the following graph..
Went on a bit of a frenzy trying out a pile of 2X/4X discs of various types i had lying around. Best results were with Verbatim by a long way but none were as bad as the Bulkpaq.
Tried disc 2, burner will not accept it, usual error.
Still burning verbs at 2X so burner is fine. I know all I need to know about these discs.
Thank you Stealth and Bulkpaq for saving me from wasting a load of money on some of these. It's fair to say that these discs live up to Bulkpaq's usual standard. At least they are the one company who are consistent with their discs. Always rubbish and you know what you will be getting. Even Datasafe/Write Can't claim to be consistent...
Now removing tongue from cheek.
The simple fact is that you get what you pay for, That's whay i have just ordered 200 Verbs.
Yorkie984.
