Well for my cheek I recieved a pack of these Discs this morning so I am going to claim the first review.
Initially I thought they had sent me the wrong ones they looked a similar design and colour to the Datawrite ones I had tested earlier this week but on closer inspection they are more tinted towards orange than the Datawrite pink and as one supplier describes them Bulkpaq “Tango” 4x.
The printing on the disc is white and not too obtrusive and the semi matt label makes writing with a black pen stand out well. The style of the top of the disc is the same as the Datawrite with a white Polo ring around the "Tango" centre. The dye is the usual Princo light purple and is nice and even throughout.
I placed the disc in the Pioneer A05 burner, it was quickly recognised and Nero CD speed identified it as PRINCO, with Recording Speeds 1x - 4x. My first test burn was a 4.37 movie title set with Record Now Max which took just over 15 mins. and as you can see from MY GRAPHS the initial Liteon graph result of the first burn was a bit disappointing but not unexpected. Reading the disc in the Samsung gave a much better graph.
From experience I find that the Samsung is comparable with the DVD players for reading DVD-R discs and reading in the Liteon tests the limits of the quality of the burn.
So now that it’s burnt, off to check the playback, my worst player is an old Mustek so I tried my first test disc in it as it is very sceptical to sticking with poor quality burns. The disc was quickly recognised, chapter skipping was fast without stuttering, picture search was smooth in both directions, each chapter started to play fine and skipping to the end, the credits were smoother than I had expected considering the Liteon readings. I played back the last 15 mins or so of the movie and it was perfect without sticking up to and including the credits.
I did the same with my other DVD players and found no playback problems.
I tested the burning in my A04 drive and the burn was satisfactory at 2x speed and there was also no problems with playback see MY GRAPHS
The first discs appear to be ok so I burnt a few more and the results are looking better with one full disc actually reading 100% perfect in my LITEON. Bulkpaq must have hand picked that one for me.
I have burnt 10 of these discs so far without a coaster and I am pleasantly surprised in the results I think I will go against my better judgement and buy some more before the quality deteriorates.
Conclusion
Although these discs show up as not being perfect they all played back fine and were readable in my test DVD readers, I would loved to have given them a bad review on past experiance. Comparing them with the equivalent Datawrite they are slightly inferior but still of merchantable quality and if you take the price difference into comparison then as value for money I would say they are about equal.
After comments about some of my other reviews I stand by these findings with the media I have in my possession and I will be interested to read what others think of them.

Got the disk (Nice orange colour), will test this morning.
Have rushed the tests to please flash.
Both disks arrived in A1 condition, and I do like the colour, as flash says, they are easy to write titles on with a black marker.
Never had much luck with bulkbaq before, so this time I was very hopeful. The writing side of the dvd-r is a light pink/purple and looked the same as the princo I use. Both dvd-r's were burn't in a pioneer 105 using Nero, and filled to the brim with movies. After the first was finished in just 15 mins, I ran Nero cd speed, (Sorry no place to put the graph) and the results using my old toshiba scsi m1401 dvd drive, showed the burn on parr with the results obtained from the princo's.. The result of the second dvd-r was slightly better than the first.. (This is Looking Good)..
The time came to try this movies in my standalones listed below.
Dansai 1010
Dansai 852
Scan2000
Mirror Mirr110
The problem machine is always the dansai 1010, the movie loaded and played without any problems, even the last 10 mins. Running upstairs I tried the other players, and again played without a problem.
These new Dvd-r by bulkpaq really seem to suit my needs, I do hope the final shop product is the same. If this is a sub £1.00 dvd-r, I for one will buy them.
Without any doubt the best bulkpaq dvd-r I've tried.

Got the 2 disks this morning and (hopefully) will test this evening.
I think I'll use one dor a DVD movie and the other for data.
Eqpt.
Pioneer 104 (2x max) Firmware 1.40
Nero v5.5.9.17
Movie Test:
DVD Players - Pioneer DV-350, Bush 2008.
Initial thoughts:
Disks arrived in a double CD case. Case was cracked but disks seemed unaffected by this. There is some dithering on the outer edge of the writing surface but apart from that they seem to be in good condition even if they are a rather sickly orange colour. Still, you don't see 'em when they're playing, and there are always opaque DVD cases.
Data Disk burned at 2x - 4.37Gb. Verified fine. Odd thing is that nero reported a 9 minute burn! Of course it didn't take that long but I can't verify the exact timing as I got called away just after the burn process started.
DVD-SVCD burned at 2x - 4.35Gb. Verified fine. Played without problems in both standalones.
Overall I reckon that this is a pretty good disk - far better than I thought it would be. The question is whether Bulkpac will keep up the quality or whether it will get worse with later batches.
ATM I would definitely buy these disks if I had a 4x DVD recorder. However, with only a 2x it's currently a toss up between Datasafe Classic 2x or these - I'll probably go with whichever is cheaper.
Quick notes:
Stealth - Sorry about the "got disks, test later" post but judging from previous tests I thought it was best practice. I will avoid doing it in the future.
Flash - Checked the disks again as per your instructions - I was right, there *is* some dithering & a mark on the outer edge of the writing surface of one of the disks. The other is debatable but I'd be willing to gve it the benefit of any doubt.

I think you will find this dithering as you put it is in fact light entering via the slightly irregular rim of the disc and is the same with most of the discs I have. Initially I had this impression with the majority of the brands of discs but if you shield the rim from the light the dithering as you put it disappears.
Mods if you feel this post is in the wrong section feel free to move it.
It would appear as with other recent tests that getting their posts in early in the thread is more important than actually doing a review

Received the discs this morning and I'd like to thank the relevant people for allowing me to do this test.
The discs were burnt on a Sony DUR-500a, latest firmware applied. I've had a few problems with my drive, being fussy with different media and such, so I was hesitant with these.
First disc I burnt with Stomp Record Now Max 4.1 and this was Midnight Club II. Nice speed burn wise, no errors.....lovely. I put this into my Messaiah'ed PS2 and it boots nice and fast, as well as an original. I tested this disc a second time on a Neo'ed PS2, which my friend says is very fussy with media, and it booted beautifully and once again as good as an original...
Second disc, I burnt with Stomp once again and this was The Osbournes Series 1. Again, burnt at full speed (4x) and tested it on the following machines:
Cyberhome 528
Cyberhome 412
PS2
Xbox
and of course my PC.
The playback was superb, all of the above machines played perfectly, skipped perfectly and no corruption in the picture.
I am impressed and I think I will be purchasing some of these discs in the not too distant future.
Thanklyou again for the opportunity to test them...

Received the disks this morning in a double cd case in A1 condition
Hardware: Pioneer 105 with 1.30 Firmware
Software: Nero version 5.5.10.0
Burnt a movie with the first one at 4x. The record buffer level was up and down
like a yoyo, going from 14% to 94%. It took 19 minutes and 9 seconds to complete.
Tried the movie in my Philips stand alone player and it played flawlessly.
Burnt a different movie with the second one at 2x. This time the record buffer
was more stable. This one took 28 minutes and 58 seconds to complete.
Again this one played flawlessly.
Both of my tests were done without multi-tasking. _________________ SSDD (Same SH*T Different Day)

Thanks for the opportunity to try these disks.
Got the disks this morning,I have a pioneer 104 so I can only record at 2-speed, however, I usually only record at 1 speed to ensure better compatability.
First of all, the disks are a dull orange colour and I printed a label on with my new TDK label printer. The label looks good and doesn't seem to harm the disks in any way.
I burned a movie at 2-speed on the first disk and it played back faultlessly on my standalone (Minato) dvd player, skipped along to the end of the movie and it still played perfectly.
Burned a multi game xbox disk on the second disk, again at 2-speed and it seems that it is playing back fine.
I usually veer away from bulkpaq disks (my standalone dvd player does not like the purple ones!) but it looks like they have improved this time and I will certainly consider buying some in the future.

most suprised to recieve these in the post this morning and this being my 1st test forgive me if i make any errors but here goes
my test equipment
pioneer 105 with the latest rpc1 2x 4 all firmware
toshiba sdm1612
tested on
ps2
cyberholme adm512
bush 203
pionner 515 chipped
i did my 1st burn at 4x with the movie 8 legged freaks burnt this as image 1st onto the hard drive then started the burn at 4x as i have never burnt at this speed before my expectations were not high i watched the buffer move smoothly from 20% to 48% and no higher which was good and the whole process only took 17min 20 sec which after taking over an hour before was a vast improvement
i took the disk and tried it 1st in my ps2 chipped with a neo key, no problems whatsoever played a treat i used the fast forward option at 4x and it went through to the end no problem, i then watched the last half hour and not a problem
then on to the cyberholme which has been struggling lately with certain disks, but this posed no problem it loaded the disk quicker than most of my originals and played flawlessley all the way through
pioneer had no problems neither did the bush so 10/10 for the film department
the next was splinter cell on ps2 which i thought i would do a 1:1 on the fly which i normally wouldn't do
started the burn process and it flew through it 14 min 3 secs and the buffer on my 105 never got above 85% booted in my ps2 no problem and played perfectly also tried it on my m8's messiah chipped and the same result
as for the disks the color is quite nice and alllows you to write on to nicely witha suitable pen
i for one never had a problem with bulkpaq but i know a few people who do an i hope this 4x disk changes their mind because if not they won't get many trades from me as i shall definately be buying some of these disks as long as the price is right
so thanks for the opportunity to test this disk especially such a good one as well just hope this review is ok

4x-40016992 is number around centre rim (which is assume is batch number).
burnt movies (28 days later & 2 weeks notice) on both of them using sony dru 500a. both movies worked fine in philips DVD634 player.
wow is my reaction. at 0.99 per disc this looks good. hope they show this quality throughout and with other things i.e ps2 games.
