Got my discs today, case was badly cracked but didn't seem to have effected the disc.
Equipment
Burned both on Pioneer A-04 (1.40 Firmware) @ 2x
Tested on Pioneer 747A, Toshiba 100E and Playstation 2 Version 4
Views of Disc
The disc looks okay i guess, bit tacky around the edges and in the center. Dye looks similar to that of other discs (except Ritek, CMC, Mitsubishi).
Burned a full trailer disc and a backup of a movie. Both played fine on Pioneer 747A and Toshiba 100E, however the PS2 had a few skips.
I'd say about on par with Datawrite 1x certified discs except this can be burned up to 4x which is cool. I probably wouldn't buy the fact that I dont need to burn at 4x, but no other main reasons. However, if the quality stays like these samples over time and I hear from others they have then, yes I think I would place an order for these.

got the disks this morning cracked case but dvdr's ok
equipment used
amd 1400 256 mb ram elite ecs motherboard
liteon dvd rom and pioneer 105 dvd burner with 2x for all 1.30 firmware
software used nero 5.5.10.20 latest
bulkpaq disk 1
xbox indiana jones 2478 mb used nero at 4x speed on the fly took 9 minutes and 4 seconds to burn from start to finish, no errors reported and no physical marks ect after burn
results tried on two xboxs mine mk1 with very fussy thomson dvd rom, booted game very quick played fmv very smooth played perfect 10/10
also tried on another xbox mk2 with samsung dvd rom which plays just about any disk and it played this one perfect 10/10
bulkpaq disk 2
dvd film the reqruit screener 3890 mb used nero 4 x speed on the fly took 13 minutes and 20 second to burn start to finish, no errors reported and no physical marks ect after burn
results tried on naiko 2051/mustek/xbox with thomsom dvd rom/ps2 v7 / all played perfect tried first 10 minutes and last 10 minutes and skipped to all chapters all played perfect 10/10
conclusion
these disks look very nice like the orange top, the dye colour looks about the same as all princo dvdr light purple colour, for the price 99p there good but need to see if the retail media is as good and if the quality is the same in a few months, i can only give these disks 10/10, i recommend you buy some before they all sell out which they will . good on you bulkpaq for driving the price down on dvdr media, i think all new 4x media need to think about there price structor if there going to have a large percentage of the dvdr market.

Ok - looks like I'm going to be the first with a bad review
Discs arrived in perfect condition.....
Disc 1: Burned a 4.36GB movie in my Sony DRU500A with firmware 2.0e.
Nero 5.5.10.20 stated that it was burning this disc at 4X although the burn time was 30:45, so something was not quite right.
**I have only burned 1 4X disc previously, which was an FWS (Ritek), it burned in less than 15 minutes**
However, playback of disc 1 on my Panasonic HS2 and my Dansai DVD212 was perfect.
Before burning disc 2, I decided that I would do a simulated write using Record Now Max 4.5, to see if this disc would indeed burn at 4X....
The burn appearred to be going well, it had done around 60% in about 9 minutes, so it looked like it would indeed finish the burn at 4X.
However, it then came up with a write error
I decided I would try the disc with Nero again, this time doing a simulated write at 4X....
Again things appearred to be going well until about 60%, when I got the write error failure again
Not giving up, I again tried another 4X simulate in Record Now Max, this once again gave me the write failure error at the same place.
***I have written about 150 discs in my Sony at 1X and 2X (Ritek, Nan-ya, Datawrite Yellow) and have never had a failure up to now***
I have just completed another simulate in Nero this time at 2X instead....
No write error message
Something, somewhere isn't quite right, I will need to try some more 4X discs before I can decide whether it is my writer or the bulkpaq discs causing the problem.
My results.......TEST INCONCLUSIVE
Thanks for letting me take part in the test, sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

Finally got some spare time to burn these Bulkpaq Orange 4x. I had my doubts over quality in the past but as usual i try to go into these tests with an open mind. My thanks to Stealth for giving us the opportunity to test these discs.
First impressions of the disc were quite good. Both discs arrived scratch and dust free in a double cd case. The orange color is understated (compared to Yellows? ) and reasonably attractive. The build quality of the disc is good also, a sturdy feel and a welcome matt finish for a good impression on the top surface.
The write side of the disc is the usual PRINCO color, with the dye nice and even on both of my test discs. To the eye the dye color on the "Tango" is indistinguisable from 1x PRINCO dye found on the yellow tops.
Test Rig is Jetway VIA266 Athlon 1800+ 512RAM. Images read from HD (IBM Deskstar Pro SCSI 3/160 60gig) to a Sony DW-U10A converted to Sony DRU-500A 1.0f. Windows XP SP1. Keyboard, mouse and a noisy CPU fan.
On the first disc i recorded a 4.37gig film. I recorded the image using STOMP RecordNow Max 4.5 setting the write speed to 4x. The lead in was written @4x but when recording commenced its dropped to 2x, taking 30mins to complete the burn. However once the disc had completed I had no problem reading it back perfectly in my Standalones (Pioneer 454, 747, Sony 336S, PS2 XBox and 303 DVD Rom in my PC) By far the fussiest player (my Sony) was surprisingly quick at scanning the disc, chapter skipping, fast forwarding and final chapters were flawless, which pleasantly surprised me.
For the second disc i decided NOT to use my usual PS2 test (Timesplitters 2 loading test from the SolaceInBlack school of thought) Instead I reccorded a 4gig XBox 3 Game "Multi" disc. My thought being that the console would have to read from most of the disc (performing various file/fmv/streaming operations from the inside to the far outer part of the disc) and would give an overall read characteristic of the disc. The ISO image was recorded with Nero 5.5.10.0. Once again the write speed dropped from the selected 4x to 2x after the lead in had been written. All three games played back fine with perfect FMV and RITEK quality loading times. Consistant with Yellow Top, quite obviously, both being PRINCO dyes!
For 99p a disc (if the batch consistancy can be maintained) it is a cracker! Having read through the rest of the reviews now, i see Spook had the same problem with 4x writing drop which is fixed with the flashing of the 2.0e firmware which i have appllied (after burning both my test discs! DOH!)and will try again to write @4x when i order a 25 tub of these discs to give them a more thorough cross section test of my own.
Tangos are the cheapest 4x media on the market and although they are "Bulkpaq" (and i have never had anything good to say about Bulkpaq) the only issue i have is that they they did not write @4x, but that is a DRU-500 AND PRINCO issue, not just a Bulkpaq one. Not exactly an overnight Bulkpaq fan but suprised at the initial quality of the disc. _________________ Blessed are those that ask for nothing, for they shall not be disappointed.

decrypter = reports an i\o error after lead in
the equiptment i use is pioneer 105 tried 1.21/1.30/1.30 2xforall firmware with the same results

I recieved my disc on saturday, upon opening the envelope, i was impressed, not only bye the colour, but also the fact that the dual case had not been cracked by my postman!
These disc have a nice, if not different colour, i was impressed with the amount of room given to write on them.
My only other dealings with Bulkpaq disc were the purple ones, which did not impress me @ all, therefor these disc needed to impress me, and above all perform to the standerds of the RitekG03 and G04 dyes.
My first impression on the build quality was good, but upon a closer look, the inner edge section of the disc did seem a litle messy. However, looking @ the 1X purple ones, they are the same.
Drive information
Vendor PIONEER
Product DVD-RW DVR-105
Firmware Version 1.30 (2x for all)
Devices tested on.
PC Internal DVD106
Panasonic HS2
Samsung DVDS224
LG4220
Xbox 1.1
PS2
1st burn was a full 4.5 movie, it burnt on time and the burn part did seem a uniform coolour. The movie playback/menu's/chapter skipping was flawless except on the PS2 which was a little erratic.
2nd burn was another 4.5gbs, but of data (mp3s to be exact) again the burn was perfect, the read back times were comparable to those of ritek dye disc.
Final Impression.
This disc has impressed me, its overall compatibility seems to match that of the ritek disc, which can only be good. this disc has totaly restored my confidence in Bulkpaq DVDR's.
I would give it 9/10 but becuase its a cheaper alternative to the Ritek types its got to be 10/10
Thankyou very much for letting me test these disc.

Tried my discs out this morning.
Both were burned on Pioneer 105 with original f/w V1.30
ADVD info states these discs as princo.
The film i used was Armageddon 2 disc collectors edition.
Disc 1 was shrunk to size with DVD2One to a size of 4380Mb.
Burned with Stomp RecordNow Max V4.5, and took about 15 mins to burn.
Disc 2 was about 2.5-3gig so an ISO was made and burnt at 4x also.
Both discs play perfectly on my 105 using power DVD V4
They also play perfectly on my samsung DVD 616Q.
Next up was my pioneer 350-s, once again no problems at all, played to very end without skipping.
The next player i tried was my VERY picky samsung m105, and i couldn't believe it, no skipping and played to the very end.
I had kept well clear of Bulkpaq since the purple 2x ones, added that princo have had some bad press of late i was a bit dubious of these discs.
But i cannot fault them with my setup and will probably be ordering some very shortly.
Lets just hope these discs stay this way.

Guess what... case cracked....
Pioneer A05 (FW 1.30)
RecordNow Max 4.5
ISO Video DVD Images (full disc)
HP 1.6GHz, UDMA 100 40Gbyte HDD
Burnt at 4x with zero buffer problems.
Played back in Chepo ALBA 114 DVD Player (mind you this plays all discs and is not fussy at all) + Yamaha 520 (fairly fussy) + Xbox 1.1 (Thomson DVD) All played fine - but actually never had any problems with the purple Bulkpaq either... perhaps I was lucky ?
For £1 these 4x look impressive - 50p or so cheaper than the competition (or is this a bigpockets promotion?) The only thing Bulkpaq need to ensure is that they maintain this quality as they have a bad name in the DVD-R community and this new disc is a good start to repairing this name ...
Thanx 4 the opportunity 2 test...

bulkpak
Recorder pioneer a105
Software Primo Prassi DVD ver 2
Player’s tosh 220e Panasonic a100u
Received the disks on Friday burnt a copy of two towers which took up all but 10 Meg of disk space
Tried it in the Toshiba first loaded the film quickly didn’t watch the film but did try the usual tests skip to the middle and end of the disk all appears fine
Also tried rewind to catch it out but I must admit it appears that this time bulkpak have got a good one to actually sell to the public.
I also burnt a copy of chamber of secrets' results the same both disks
Recorded at 4 times not a problem
Tried the two films in my old Panasonic a100 which is now 5 years old
and a bit tired and it also plays fine even at the end of the films which did surprise me the only thing the Panasonic seemed to have a problem with is rewind or fast forward which did make the machine fall over a couple of times but like I said it is 5 years old and officially not able to play dvd-r
so you can't hold that against bulkpak.
